Chantal Kreviazuk 出生于加拿大缅省的年轻音乐创作人，钢琴家。三岁的时候即被发现对钢琴有着独特的兴趣。91年开始在加拿大著名的University Of Manitoba 音乐系学习。钢琴成为了她人生的唯一部分。不幸的事情在94年发生了，一次交通的意外中，她虽然幸免于难，可是，她不得不放弃为之追求了十几年的钢琴艺术，手部不能非常灵敏的转换，虽然在生活上没有任何影响,但始终艺术是严格的。从车祸中恢复过来后，Chantal 开始了在音乐上的另外的一条道路：音乐创作。 1996-10-08 发行了第一张专辑 Under These Rocks & Stones ，全部的歌曲和歌词均是由她一人包办的。这足以证明她的才华。在这张专辑里，大部分歌曲都是有钢琴部分。年轻的Chantal 始终对钢琴恋恋不忘。这张专辑在加拿大的销量超过双白金。也因此，1996年令 Chantal 光芒四射。在那以后的一年半里，机会接踵而来，Chantal 被邀请参加各种表演，包括国内的和国际的，而她的表演则是钢琴的伴奏。从中令到 Chantal 对自己的音乐之路有更多的领悟和想象空间，这体验是极其珍贵的。
